I decided I hated not having an ice maker and bought a new fridge. I can easily run a line, the plumbing is well within my ability. The question is how would you do it.
The spot I've been keeping my fridge is in a corner. The back wall is shared with the living room the right side is shared with a pantry. The flooring is linoleum. I have no intention of remodeling the kitchen. I also am likely to buy a new place within the next 5 years so don't want to horribly inconvenience a future owner if they want the fridge somewhere else.
There is a cold water line(copper) that feeds the washing machine that runs almost under this spot in an unfinished basement.
So tee into the water line. Do you put a shut off at the tee or just put an angle stop or something above? Drill through the floor or fish it into the wall? Do they have an 'old work' style box for the wall? Flex copper or pex for the feed?
Thanks in advance.
