demonic dogs nosleep

To begin with, I've always had strange experiences and dreams. I honestly do not know if I believe in the supernatural, but I know I've experienced a lot of events that could definitely be considered such. My house is also very old with a lot of history, which does not help me lessen my supernatural experiences. In any case, this happened when I was about eight or nine years old.

My father brought home a strange canine statue sometime in mid-March. It was not a wolf, nor a fox, but some kind of dog. Most of it was black and gray, but it had dark red eyes that seemed to watch you whenever you looked at it. He put it on top of the refrigerator in his workshop upstairs, a room down from mine. This room starts the hallway and ends in a large former-master bedroom from when we used to rent out the downstairs. My room is on the side (that I share with my sister), along with my brother's on the opposite side. The night that statue was put upstairs, I began to have strange dreams- terrifying dreams. Whenever I fell asleep, at some point during the night I would be thrown into the doorway of my dad's workshop with the statue staring straight at me. The first night, I smiled at it despite the chills and goosebumps running through me. Then I heard a howl and three giant black dogs with red eyes were standing in front of me, looking angry as hell. One snapped at my arms and I screamed, running down the hall. I didn't know where I was going, only that I had to get away from the dogs. They snapped at my heels and I knew if they caught me, I would be dead. I threw open my bedroom door and dived into my bed, shaking. Thinking for sure I was going to die, I shivered under my blankets and tried to ignore the growling dogs pacing right outside my bed until the clock struck midnight and they walked outside the door. Peering around the doorframe, I watched as they went down the hallway and into the big room that my siblings and I used as a playroom. One of them spotted me as they faded into the night, and I still remember its hateful glare. For the next six months, this dream repeated itself, sometimes resulting in me having very close calls. I never told my parents about it, as previous strange dreams had always been brushed off. Finally, my dad wanted space to put a different statue where the dog was, and the dog statue was taken downstairs and far away from the staircase. The night it was moved from my room, the room in which the statue now resides was unlocked and open instead of locked like it usually was. That night, I dreamt of the dogs again, but instead of being in my dad's workshop, I was outside in my yard with the fence gate locked- and the dogs inside with me. But instead of the huge, demonic monsters that they had been before, they shrunk down to the size of a lab and were wagging their tails. They let me pet them and even licked my hands a few times before I unlocked the gate and locked it behind them. They disappeared into the sunlight and I woke up. Since then, I haven't had a single dream.
