Hey r/diy I want to convert a freezer into a refrigerator. I was thinking of adding an extension cord in between the wall socket and the cord from the freezer. In that extension cord is a built in thermometer that measures the temp. inside the freezer and when it gets too low, the power will switch on and the freezer will start to work. If it gets too cold, there won't be anymore power going to the freezer. Is this possible? And if so, what should I buy as a thermostat. pic related: how I would do it. http://ift.tt/1Mqb96y
