Well my refrigerator is on its last legs I fear. Last week I opened it up and the ice was very soggy and I could bend the bacon very easily (it couldn't support its own weight). However this was right before work, so I had no time to investigate.
When I came home a miracle happened.... everything was frozen solid! I just assumed I had left the door open during the night... and my problems were solved. However I decided to keep a close eye on it this week and make sure the door shut. Well this evening it happened again and the fan/compressor wouldn't turn on for like 30 minutes (after I had finished cleaning out the bad food). I checked the model (serial number) and it was made January 2003 (Kenmore)
So here is the problem....
If I fix it it could cost a good amount and google tell me their life expectancy is 14 to 16 years.
If I replace it all of my appliances are white..... It would look funny with 1 black or stainless steel item..... Also I don't think my cabinets would look good with anything but white (I'll take a pic if you'd like).... But I hate my cabinets and countertops
But I don't want to live here forever and my new owners my hate my current setup (I kinda do)
Part of my wants to live life without a fridge so I can avoid making a decision... Then another part is like "Screw it remodel the kitchen!"
