Coveting 240v fridge... can it be made to work in the US? electricians

Hello electricians,

After months of searching I have fallen madly, deeply, pathetically in love with a refrigerator that I'm sure will solve every problem I've ever had. The only trouble is that it is presenting trouble. It's this guy: http://ift.tt/1Pic5se Is there any way he would be able to live a happy life in the United States of America? Or am I going to have to move to Italy to be with him? (Wasn't there a Julia Roberts movie about this at some point...?)
