3 simple questions on installing quarter rounds, installing laminate floor and putting a refrigerator on carpet HomeImprovement

I'm having laminate installed in my kitchen. We've pulled up the old vinyl flooring and it looks like this underneath. I would assume this is fine to install over? I'm not sure what the white stuff is, old glue maybe. We still need to do a quick sweep for any extra paper that might be left, but we feel it is ready.

I'm going to install the quarter rounds myself, do they need to sit in the room for 2-3 days like the laminate to acclimate?

Lastly we need to move our refrigerator as the installer wants too much to move it, is it fine sitting on carpet for about a day? I'm gonna put a tarp or something down for it to sit on. It ideally would be plugged in. (I wish I would have kept the old vinyl as it would have been perfect for it).

I know these might seem trivial, but I just want to make sure
