Samsung side by side. So amp draw is 15!, yet it sounds like it's running when the compressor comes on, not like it's locked rotor. I'm expecting a buzz with a locked rotor, but I hear a hum like the motor is actually spinning and the compressor compressing. Start and run windings ohm out to proper numbers, and not showing that they're grounded.
It runs for 20 seconds, cuts out, comes back after the overload resets. It was doing that for a couple of days before anyone noticed, so the compressor was super hot!. For all of those two days, it was trying to run for 20 seconds, cutting out, rinse, repeat.
The curious thing for me is the fact that it sounds like it's running. If the start winding doesn't drop out, will it run and draw high amps like that?
