I am about 2.5 weeks in to keto. I feel more psychologically balanced, less bloated, and just generally better! Unfortunately I didn't buy my good scale til I was about a week in, but I have lost around 10 pounds (but I don't have much to lose, starting weight 140).
Anyway, THESE are the things from which I have abstained these past 2 weeks. And any other time these are all things I would have eagerly consumed. I was (am?) a severe sugar addict, so this is both a victory and very painful.
-A surprise doughnut from my husband (I said no, and I cried - this was the first thing I declined because of keto)
-Multiple Reese's cups delivered to people in the office by my coworker throughout this time (he's the candyman at work)
-Pie in my office refrigerator
-Two boxes of Girl Scout cookies in my pantry at home
-Catered cookies and brownies at a work meeting
-Homemade sugar cookies in the break room at my grocery store job
-Cupcakes that my husband brought home from work
-Fresh-baked cookies at my moms house
-A coupon for a free half gallon of ice cream at my grocery store job
-Fireball whiskey shots on a cold night with my husband
-Marshmallow easter egg candies - I bought them for my husband and all I could do was smell them.
-A carton of chocolate almond milk that my mom gave me because she didn't like it.
-A Bud Light Apple-ahhh-Rita (sugary alcoholic drink) that I bought out of state just so I could try it one day... it's in my fridge.
Obviously I'm still mourning because I still remember all of these, but there you have it!
