Role Summary/Purpose
Our software solution is built upon a very extensive platform, which includes more than 15 modules. The task of our Project Leads is to configure each solution to best achieve the unique needs of the customer, deliver the solution, train end-users, and provide post go-live services. Our process prior to go-live is for the the Project Leads to conduct requirement meetings with the customer to determine the processes and procedures required for a successful deployment. Our process after go-live is to be available to assist with new requests and support as requested by the customer.
As the Junior Project Specialist, you will be teamed up with Project Leads and participate in various projects. This process will provide you with the education needed to understand our products and processes both pre and post go-live as well as a good understanding of ERP software. We expect self-motivation and a willingness to dive into things you will need to learn. You will be working on real-life projects together with Project Leads who will be assigning you tasks to complete. It is expected that after several implementation projects, this role develops into a Project Lead position, responsible for their own customer projects.
Candidates should feel comfortable directly engaging with the customer and presenting to groups of people.
Salary is 40-50k/yr depending on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Receive requests from Project Leads and Customers and ensure you have a good understanding of the issue so you can complete the tasks.
Enter tasks in JIRA, categorize them, and keep track of progress.
Communicate with customers and Project Leads while they have open issues.
Troubleshoot issues and solve them.
Identify software bugs discovered.
Complete report modifications
Install Patches on customer systems.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate support issues into solutions.
Proven relationship building and interpersonal skills to effectively work within our team.
AA or BA/BS in MIS or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education + experience.
Familiar with SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Prior experience with transactional business software (QuickBooks, Dynamics GP, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills coupled with a high level of initiative and responsibility.
Ability to effectively execute in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
Proven ability to work in a dynamic multi-disciplinary team environment.
