Unsafe wiring in rented apartment ? electricians

http://ift.tt/1zxiI4Q

Looking for a solution to this potentially unsafe wiring issue. Wondering if there is an extension cord in which the "female" or "male" end can detach from the wire. Currently renting an apartment that is lacking an outlet behind the refrigerator. It seems that the landlord has "solved" this issue by drilling a small hole in the wall leading to the room behind the fridge. They used a simple 2 prong extension cord. In order to fit the cord through the hole I suspect they must have detached either the female or male end and reattached the wiring on the other side. In order for this to work with the fridges power cord they used a 3 prong adapter. The setup seems like it is hazardous. I am looking to replace the setup with a more fit power cord with the hopes of being able to provide electricity to another appliance without having to widen the hole in the wall or disassemble an extension cord to make it fit. Any advice would be much appreciated.
