TIFU by "Losing my Phone" and Using Phone Insurance Co. to get another right away tifu

This is a TIFU that actually sort of did happen today. So there's that. Yesterday, I went on an all-day bar crawl (started drinking at noon and kept going until midnight). To be clear, I am not a champion drinker. My wallet loves the fact that I'm a lightweight (my pride...not always). I woke up this morning feeling surprisingly well, but I have a vague recollection of not knowing where my phone was last night. So I search my entire apartment - no phone. I had some friends call the last few places I was at last night - no phone. I'm now bummed out, because I really don't feel like getting a new phone and then realize that I have insurance on the phone that covers replacements! Bam! So I get everything squared away - for $100 I'll have a new phone delivered to my office on Tuesday. It will suck to be without a phone for a few days, but what are you gonna do! I had verizon deactivate my "old" phone, because whatever unscrupulous ruffian found my phone last night and pocketed it was not going to get free cell phone usage from me!

A few hours go by, I go into my fridge and notice some leftovers that weren't there before. Take them out to see what they were, and lo and behold, I was greeted with a perplexing site. Behind where the leftovers had been was my "lost" cell phone! Apparently, drunk me decided that a refrigerator was as good of a place as any to store a cell phone over night...

So now I'm going to have to pay a reactivation fee to reactivate the phone. Assuming that the phone insurance people will refund me the $100 and cancel the order for the new phone.

Not the worst fuck up ever, but I'm scratching my head and decided to share it with the rest of reddit.

Tl;dr: Got blackout drunk on a bar crawl and thought I lost my phone. Turns out drunk me thinks refrigerators are a great cell phone storage space...
