Thermal paste advice on notebook buildapc

Hello guys , I have a 4 year old Sager notebook , i7 2720QM (Sandy Bridge) and GT540M , every year I need to change his thermal paste since both GPU and CPU reach 90º C (194º Fahrenheit) , so I was looking for the best thermal paste today, I got this list (available where I live):

Gelid Solutions GC Extreme Prolimatch PK-3 Noctua NT-H1 Artic MX-4 Xigmatek 4G PTI-G4512

But reading in some sites, I dont know what application method I should use for Mobile , I was using the dot method , but I think isnt the best for Mobile.

In Artic Silver official website it says to use Surface Spread(CPU):

The official website of Noctua says to apply a single dot (CPU and GPU):

Then I looked Tom Hardware topic:

My questions are:

1) I already have Noctua NT-H1 (and Artic MX-4, both 3 years old) , Gelid Solutions GC Extreme cost alot and seems to be more difficult to apply , worth it?

2) Which application method should I use(CPU and GPU)?

I know this reddit forum have a lot of topics about thermal paste , but I didnt found a Mobile scenario.

Thanks!

EDIT: Also , where I can put the thermal paste after I use it? My noctua and mx-4 are on the refrigerator..
