Hi,
I'm going to Safeway later today to grocery shop for this weeks lunches. The problem is I'm studying for midterms this week (the next two days and during the week), so I don't have the normal time to prep lunches like usual. With the lack of unlimited caffeine and pregnancy brain I've been suffering from lately, I need all the time I can get to study!
I just want something that I can grab and pack. My husband has access to a refrigerator at work (he works on campus), but no microwave or hot water spout or anything. I eat lunch with him everyday, so I he can get my refrigerated food out during that time, but if I want something to save until later, it can't be refrigerated (because I don't have access to it and have to carry it with me). I am on campus for 9 hours every day.
For some reason the only thing I can think of is getting a big sub sandwich. My specific dr's orders are no to lunch meat. But I'm willing to have a little bit if it's from a place I trust. The problem is, I don't really know who I would trust! Is Safeway an okay place to eat lunch meat from in a prepared sandwich?
Also, I don't like cheese (I am willing to pull it off a sandwich or something). Or any food that at any point supposed to be hot eaten cold. In other words, I can't eat leftovers cold if it was a heated meal in the first place. I'm doing much better in terms of nausea, but I will still throw up foods if I normally don't like them and I'm forcing myself to eat them. :/ Also, I still have an aversion to hummus (or anything with chickpeas) which is a huge bummer, because it was such a big part of my diet before!
I don't have a ton of money, like prepared fruits are too expensive for me. I am actually asking for a fruit platter for my birthday that's coming up soon, lol I think that explains the norm for my budget. ;)
Thank you for any ideas you have! Or the confirmation that I most likely won't kill the fetus if I eat safeways sub sandwiches.
