To increase the applications of mechanical computers, 3 slightly different thermostats have been developed. These are Bimetallic strips, Pneumatics & SMA thermostats, and will be capable of generating mechanical input based on temperature.
The 3 different types will be used for different processess each:
Bimetallic strips will be used as visual indicators & backup feedback/input
Pneumatics will be used as primary feedback.
SMAs will be used as emergency switches to automatically detect & prevent large build ups of heat.
This will greatly increase efficiencies of refrigerators & other cold storage locations.
