I'm currently a student and was asked by my instructor why it would be a problem to store EDTA tubes in a refrigerator. I've pored over my books, relevant sites, and even done google scholar searches but haven't found any mention of negative effects of temperature on EDTA.
Am I overthinking this? Is it something simple, like the increase in viscosity or the decrease in chemical kinetics, or is there a specific reason not to chill empty EDTA tubes before use?
