Is the quality of current tech worse than it used to be? I have had terrible experiences lately. technology

Hey guys,

Just a random question to everyone here in r/tech. Have you noticed lack of quality in consumer electronics lately? I was siting here going over the tech I have bought in the last couple years and realizing it has all been breaking! My PS3 stopped reading discs, my Xbox 360 got the RROD, my Xbox One disc drive failed and the replacement they sent me was broken as well. My lenovo laptop's keyboard failed within 3 months of owning it. My Vizio TV's bluetooth went out within the first few weeks of owning it (i just gave up on that because I never used the bluetooth remote anyway). And just today my Samsung refrigerator (less than a year old) stopped making ice and the freezer isn't freezing anymore. These were just the examples I could think of off the top of my head. My current purchases that work great are my Nest Thermostat, my new ASUS router, my cell phone, and my MOTO 360.

I guess the general question I am asking is am I just having bad luck, is tech not being made well, or does it just have so many parts these days you should expect to have at least something wrong? In the past I just don't remember having so many problems!
