I have a Fridgaire 25.6 cf side-by-side fridge. It slowly stopped making ice over time. Then a bunch of time passed where we just stopped using the icemaker, and then i was tasked with fixing it.
So this is what I've tried:
1: Replaced the filter in the fridge. No change
2: Replaced the ice tray holder & dispenser: No change
3: Filled the ice tray dispenser with water. The freezer made ice and dispensed it.
For some reason, water is not going to the ice maker. There is water going to the door. I pulled it back from the wall, and couldn't find any sort of kink in the line to the ice maker. I turned off the water to the fridge, unhooked the tube from the top back of the fridge, where water would inter the ice maker, and then I turned the water back on, and no water would come out of the line. I couldn't see any sort of frozen part inside the dispenser where the water would flow into the trays.
I don't know what the problem is. Any help would be absolutely fantastic.
