The fridge usually works fine but periodically just stops cooling. The ice maker still dispenses any leftover ice, the water still works and the lights come on when I open it.
When I turn the thermostat down to the off position, the lights flicker. If I leave it off for a couple minutes then turn it back on, the lights flicker and the compressor kicks back in. The fridge continues to function properly until it just quits again.
I am a capable DIY'er but have never worked on refrigeration systems before. Where should I start?
Please help, I really can't afford a new fridge right now.
