Our dishwasher just died and after some troubleshooting I decided I was out of my depth. It would cost as much to have someone come look and fix it as to simply replace it. However all of our other major appliances are as old so we're thinking about also replacing the refrigerator, stove, and hood while we're at it.
Aside from the simple dimensions of these appliances what else should I know before starting to look for these replacements and how do I discover the answers to help us? For example I'm pretty sure the dishwasher it hard wired into the circuit panel rather than simply plugged into a socket. What questions should we be asking the sales people? Does anyone have any recommendations on brands or models?
