I'm from American and have a lot of electronics in a room. I have 4 outlets in the room. I know almost nothing about the do's and don't of electricity. I'm asking this because I'm about to add an over $3,000 computer to the room and want to keep everything safe.
I've read something about 15 amps, but am unsure if that means 15 amps per outlet, per room, per house, ect.
Currently I have a laptop, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, mini refrigerator, air purifier, 2 lamps, fan, alarm clock, cable box, router, space heater, window air conditioner, and a few other small devices in the room.
I feel like you guys are going to ask me to be precise and measure everything and check things to determine this, but I'm hoping for some general information about this stuff as I've never put any thought in to electricity and am just now doing research about all of this.
Overall, I'm just wanting to be sure that my electronics and electrical wiring is set up safely.
Also, any tips on surge protecting equipment would be great as well for this over $3,000 computer I'm adding to the room, along with the electronics that already are in the room.
Thanks!
