Turkeys for all seasons! (as pointed out in /r/Cooking) Frugal

/r/Cooking has a 20/lb reminder up today. Basically if you have a 20lb turkey you need to do your refrigerator thaw starting today in order to have it ready by Thanksgiving.

So what good is this info for the frugal among us? As they've pointed out, those massive 20lb+ birds still for sale at the store have dropped to $1/lb or less! So take advantage, stock up on birds, and savor the turkey sandwiches for the next few months.

Comment if anyone can verify with photo-proof of this or can dispute. Or if you just really like turkey.
