Hey guys I just went to a great speaker thingering CasualConversation

I started the day off by shaving, which I hate doing because it makes me feel very nervous and attackable. I don't feel confident when I'm clean cut, so I usually let my beard grow big. One day I was walking on my campus after I shaved and some guy asked me if I went to the school, and when I told him I did, he laughed at me. Can't really get that out of my head. So I expected today to be pretty shit.

It started out that way, because when I woke up, I heard my roommate coughing and spitting flem, all while cooking in the kitchen and opening and closing the refrigerator (I really don't like germs or to be around sick people at all). Then I sat on the IRC for way too long and didn't do jack shit all day, so my day was pretty much ruined.

But I looked forward to this cooking thing I was going to go to with my roommates. We literally don't do things as roommates, barely talk to each other at all imo, so I was hoping this would be special.

It was a food thing set up by my school and I went with my three roommates. There was free food which were little sample things, cool stuff. And then there were 4 speakers. The first speaker talked about how he was a farmer and raised his cattle and pork, which was a little weird, but they guy seemed cool. The second was a guy who ran a pizza shop and didn't have anything memorized and came in with two sheets of notebook paper with notes. Needless to say that guy sucked ass. The third guy did a presentation on how to make salmon tar tar (from scratch, he brought in an uncut salmon and everything), he was a Spanish chef and had an assistant and was HILARIOUS. And the last was a lady on Top Chef and she told us her life story.

My roommates left at the beginning of the third guy, so they didn't get to the good parts, but that was alright, because I kinda like listening to speakers alone so that I don't feel the urge to make comments or respond to comments. I LOVE to listen to speakers, I don't really know why, and I especially love to listen to chefs making food (but only in person, not tv stuff)

Sorry about the shitty formatting, just stream of consciousness stuff. Hope you enjoyed a happy story :)

I've never posted here, so hi :)

Edit: As of the past few months, I don't do much in general, and most of my days are not fun, so doing something fun is good for me. I find that if I do one fun thing a day, I'm a happier person overall, so here is to day 1 of trying to find something fun to do everyday :)
