I am thinking of installing tile in those areas. My concern is if the tile would get scratched by things like laundry machines, storage racks, the refrigerator or stove being moved around.
Is tile durable enough to not be scratched? Is there any worry of it being cracked under some of the heavier items? Any other considerations I should be aware of?
Also, we may install engineered hardwood in other areas of the house that might border the kitchen tile. Feel free to mention anything worth consideration in that situation.
