The family was able to get a new refrigerator, and was even able to save most of the food. A few things had to be thrown out, but most was kept with the neighborhood and that survived. Except the eggs. It spoke to the daughter about what it had been feeling about her, and she is a lot more distant. It had a new idea for its story, that involves a blind swordsman who uses a bird to see.
