Help w/ Dampening Fridge Part Producing High Pitched Tone (Picture of Exact Part Making Noise ) appliancerepair

Hi, I just bought a new Kenmore 60212 Top Freezer Refrigerator. When it comes to appliance repair, I am basically a complete newbie.

When the refrigerator (compressor I think?) is running, it produces an ear-splitting high-pitched tone that tends to carry throughout my apartment. I called Sears/Kenmore to complain, but they told me the noise "is to be expected" and they wouldn't send out someone to troubleshoot.

I can't live with the noise of this fridge, but returning it is a last resort. So I spent a long time Googling the problem, which led to me deciding to unscrew the bottom rear section of my fridge and carefully poking around with a wooden spoon handle to see if I could identify the exact part responsible for the sound.

I was able to isolate it to this exact spot (circled in red): http://ift.tt/2ba5Qvi . It's the corner where the tubing makes a bend. When I touch that piece of tubing with the wooden stick, the sound completely stops. I take the stick off, and it starts again.

What can I do to safely dampen the vibration at that exact spot? I'm totally out of my depth on this, but it seems like there's probably a simple solution.
