John Wick will be at your house in 45 minutes to assassinate you. Your fridge is filled with military grade weaponry. Can you kill the Boogeyman? whowouldwin

It's 7:45 pm and you get a call from Winston saying John wick will be at your home in 45 minutes. You cannot call the police. Wick controls them. If you try and leave your house, wick has already tracked you and would kill you. Winston lets you know all of these things.

Also if you leave the house, wick has likely set up snipers to take you down in a non lethal manner and than place you back in the house.

Depressed and awaiting your fate, you open your refrigerator expecting some liquor only to find it filled with top grade modernized military weaponry.

Ak-47s, mini guns, well over 50 grenades. Etc.

How do you prepare for wick in 45 minutes. Do you even stand a chance?

R1. As title

R2. A veteran Marine about 31 years of age knocks at your door and wants to help you.

The Thing vs. Homo Aquaticus (Leviathan) whowouldwin

The Thing vs. Homo Aquaticus

prepare for a shitty story Setting: A team of 22 scientists inhabit a research base at the bottom of a deep Arctic lake. While out drilling in the ice at the lake bottom they find a contorted and mutated frozen corpse holding a bottle. Its body is extracted and brought to the lab to be examined. Once thawed, the team begin an autopsy on the corpse. The bottle, placed in a refrigerator to thaw, was mistaken by one of the more careless researchers for another beverage who foolishly drank it. Within hours he shows signs of illness and is sent to the sick ward on the other side of the base. That night a lone researcher continues to study the thawed corpse. As he's preparing an incision on its abdomen, tentacles squirm out from its back and grab the researcher.

The next morning, the others notice the sick researcher is nowhere to be found, and the lone researcher that was performing the autopsy has disappeared. Now the Thing and the Homo Aquaticus roam the research base. The crew have placed a distress call and will be extracted by the following morning. Which of the two creatures can kill/assimilate the most researchers before they leave?

  • The submarine pods were destroyed by the creatures overnight, preventing an early escape.

Round 1 - The Thing/Homo Aquaticus will not take the form of those they assimilate; they're out for blood with no regard for cover.

Round 2 - Both creatures will take the forms of those they assimilate and will try to gain the other researchers' trust to kill them.

Round 3 - The Thing and Homo Aquaticus target each other.

Featured Character: Adam Jensen whowouldwin

"I never asked for this."

Adam Jensen is a augmented human from the video game series Deus Ex.

RESPECT THREAD

Adam Jesen was experimented on as an infant and after being the only surviving test subject, he was discovered to be capable of bonding with any augmentation without trouble. When his rescuers were killed by the Illuminati, he was adopted and lived a normal life.

After pursuing a career police work and working with the SWAT team in Detroit, he became head of security at Sariff Industries.

He actually was hired on as security because Sariff discovered his past and learned he could make use of Adam's special biology and eventually turn him into the best augmented human mankind had ever seen.

An attack on the building there lead to his near death experience and prompted Sariff to give Adam upgrades beyond any human body would be capable of handling. Turning him into the Cyborg we see in the games. Fully decked out with boosted physicals and augmentations for combat assistance, he became the best at dealing with rogue augs.

Physicals

Strength

casually busting through concrete walls 3625 psi

Kick and punch through bulletproof helmets

Can throw a refrigerator across a room

• Legs augmentations allow him to jump over 90 feet in the air

Speed

• Running: 16 mph

• Reactions: bullet timing, can identity multiple rounds in midair and then react and move an enemy in the way of gunfire after getting shot at

• Combat: Swiftly takes out multiple augmented humans

Durability

Gets up front this explosion

Minor damage to him after withstanding explosions that normally tears humans to shreds

Starts fighting after jumping from a falling plane

• Dermal armor and arms are bullet proof to small arms, as seen in here

Augmentations

Adam has a variety of augmentations that he can use in and out of combat. Which include:

Smart Vision

A built in HUD that allows him to target enemies, see cloaked targets, and see enemies through objects

Typhoon Explosion System

Allows him release a number of small grenade type explosives that clear the surrounding radius near him

Icarus Landing System

Allows him to land from practically any height without damage and can even release a lethal shockwave

Icarus Boost

Launches him at high speeds and can send people flying

Titan Shield

Can activate fast enough to block shotgun rounds inches from his face and can tank the Typhoon explosions themselves.

Arm Augmentations

Includes a built in taser, blade that can extend from his elbow and wrist that also can penetrate bullet proof armor and walls and a concussive blast gun

More augmentations can be found here.

Recommend: either Deus Ex games as well as the comics

Warmachine (MCU) vs. the G-Force Gauntlet, with the help of a famous Refrigerator whowouldwin

James "Rhodey" Rhodes aka Warmachine, must run a G FORCE GAUNTLET and SURVIVE

  1. Ankles broken by Catwoman in pickup basketball game (a la Catwoman)

  2. Trip backwards onto the boxing stool from Million Dollar Baby

  3. Karate chop to the neck from Captain America (MCU)

  4. Ejected headfirst into the canopy of an F-14 Tomcat (a la Top Gun)

  5. Fall from office building window, only to be caught by super-sonic Neo (a la Matrix Reloaded)

  6. Fall from clock tower to concrete pavement, but Spider-Man sends a web that catches your waist when you're 1 foot off the ground (a la Amazing Spider-Man 2)

  7. Thrown from Stark Tower by enraged Hulk (MCU)

  8. Teleported to Low Earth Orbit by Dr. Strange, with Mjolnir handcuffed to your ankle.

  9. Thrown into the Moon by Nightmare Superman (Batman versus Superman: Dawn Of Justice)

  10. Receive planet-busting punch to jaw from Goku

Rhodey has the following five ARMORS in his arsenal:

  1. War Machine suit (MCU) but all thruster systems are offline.

  2. The fridge from Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. Rhodey gets 1 day to kit out the fridge with any advanced tech he would like to solder on to it. But this must be Rhodey's doing - Tony Stark can't help.

  3. Iron Man suit, but only the two palm-mounted repulsor units and the helmet. Sort of like in Iron Man 3. The components can run independently on full power. Rhodey may either choose to have JARVIS aboard or get 1 hour of prep time to practice with the suit.

  4. Master Chief's armor from Halo 1 (but Rhodey gets no prep time to learn the suit. Also no Cortana.)

  5. Complete collection of military exoskeletons from Edge Of Tomorrow, Aliens (the forklift thing), Matrix Revolutions, and Elysium. Rhodey gets sufficient prep time to fully master all the suits and he may choose to use different suits to pass different challenges.

Which armor gets Rhodey the farthest before permanent injury?

BONUS QUESTION: assuming Rhodey gets 1 hour of prep time, is there any armor suit in comics that will allow Rhodey to survive the full gauntlet unscathed?

Michael Scott vs David Brent vs Bill Lumbergh vs the Pointy-Haired Boss whowouldwin

Michael Scott (Office US), David Brent, (Office UK), Bill Lumbergh (Office Space - 1999), and the Pointy-Haired Boss (Dilbert comics OR TV show) face off in a demonstration of managerial mayhem. We will see who is the worst boss, and who might actually manage to manage!

For each round: Who comes out on top in this scenario? Who fails miserably? Which subordinate (or match-up of subordinates), in each situation, can prevent their manager from failing miserably? Which subordinate(s) could prevent the top manager from succeeding?

BONUS Include your favorite stereotypical manager character(s) not on the list in each round. No, your boss does not count unless there has been some movie, cartoon, tv show, etc made about him or her.

For Michael Scott, or if you choose another manager whose workforce/office changes significantly: specify when in that character's run as manager you're referring to, and as applicable, their subordinates relevant to the outcome.

Round one: Assume each office uses a combination copier/fax machine. A virus has taken hold of every copier/fax in the world, which: on the first copy/fax, prints or sends a subtle dickbutt watermark, on the second copy/fax, faxes a dickbutt to every fax number the fax has so far sent to or computer on the network that has printed from that machine, and on the third copy, starts smoking, sparking, and within a minute, is engulfed in flames.

Round 2: Shortage or supplier dispute has lead to a shortage of paperclips, staples, scotch tape, sticky notes, highlighters, stamps, envelopes, coffee filters, creamer, dish soap, 5-gallon watercooler jugs, and paper cups. Also the circuit to the refrigerator, microwave, toaster and other breakroom appliances has blown. None of these things will be available until after payday (in 13 days).

Round 3: The board of each company has put the competing manager in charge of convincing the CEO to step down. You have four tools: your best employee, your worst employee, the most embarrassing (or fireable) thing you've done as manager, and if applicable, your CEO's greatest weakness. The winning manager must somehow keep their job.

Round 4: Each manager must do their actual job, ensure that their employees do their jobs, while maintaining morale, increasing productivity, and outperforming (on a relative increase basis in all categories) the other managers.

Round 5: Similar to round 4, but with sub-rounds: each manager manages the other managers as their superior; subordinate managers retain their current team.

Deathmatch: There has been a mutiny with the real possibility of violence against the loser of round 5. Each manager and his subordinates now faces each of the other managers and their subordinates in a barbaric office tribal free-for-all. (Special deathmatch challenge: which manager, if any, can resolve this peacefully? How the hell?)

EDIT: Well, damn, I should have posted this on a Friday, so I could beg for Casual: Friday flair. Mods, can we do that? Can I repost this on Friday and get Casual: Friday flair?

Sonic, Quicksilver, Flash, Zoom, and Superman race to make the largest, most delicious breakfast whowouldwin

The aim for these characters is simple: they must produce, in one hour, the highest amount of food rated as "delicious" by our judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood of the show, "The Great British Bake Off." Whoever produces the most delicious food wins.

Judges feats include, but are certainly not limited to:

Judging Scones

Judging Bagels

Judging Bread

Disagreeing

Judging Bread Baskets

Checking for Soggy Bottoms

The Arena: This contest will take place in a large kitchen complex complete with two ovens for each contestant, a work area for each contestant, all required utensils or kitchenware, a shared refrigerator, as well as standard ingredients. If the contestant feels that they require special ingredients for their meal, they are allowed to procure them themselves. This will count against their hour of prep time.

Additionally, no mild altering of the judges, directly or through the food, is allowed. All preparation of the meal must take place in the shared kitchen complex. No help is allowed in the form of communication with others or cooperation between contestants.

His prosthetic toe has 10x the strength of a refrigerator magnet and is indestructible. Who can Magnet-Toe defeat? whowouldwin

A man loses his big toe, only to have it replaced by an indestructible magnetic toe. Hence a new villain, Magnet-Toe, is born.

  • His magnetic toe has 10x the strength of a refrigerator magnet.

  • His magnetic toe is completely indestructible, and immune to magic, matter manip, and telepathic attempts to communicate with his toe always fail.

  • The toe may not be severed

  • He has the power of "magnetic manipulation". This works as follows: He can stick things to his magnetic toe. I mean, nothing too heavy or it would fall off.

  • Magnet-Toe has an axe to grind. He wants to eliminate all other magnets in the world. He is pure evil and ruthless, but he has a soft spot for pandas.

R1: Who is the most powerful that Magnet-Toe can beat?

R2: If Magnet-Toe and Magneto were to team up, who could they defeat?

Mad Villain Showdown! Mojo Jojo vs Megamind vs Syndrome whowouldwin

The downtown area of Metropolis City is finally built! As is tradition, a villain must come and claim his territory! The 3 villains vying for the area are:

  • Mojo Jojo! The megamaniacal monkey from The Powerpuff Girls.

  • Megamind! The titular villain with a big blue head.

  • Syndrome! The spurned ex-"sidekick" from The Incredibles.

Pretty simple! They'll be performing in a couple challenges to gain dominance of the downtown area.

1) Invention-off! They are all given a standard refrigerator, leaf blower, SNES with controller, and binoculars. They have an hour to come up with the most impressive piece of equipment that they can with what they've been given.

2) Humanitarian-off! They are assigned with the simple task... of creating peace on Earth. Who's method works the best?

3) Giant robot fight-off! Title.

4) Show off-off! Best monologue, extra points for flair and presentation.

5) Showdown-off! This one is simple. 1v1v1 downtown, standard gear only, fight til incap. No teaming up!

Wolverine trapped in a silo full of magnets vs Magneto trapped in a silo full of wolverines whowouldwin

Fear Factor: Marvel Version

Wolverine and Magneto are each put into a giant silo full of each others' namesake.

For this matchup, we'll assume a conical silo like the one pictured here. The inside diameter is 20 feet (6.1 m) and the body height is 32 feet (9.8 m), and the cone height is 8 ft (2.4 m). Each round, the silo is filled to the top without compression, with the contestant inserted halfway through.

Round 1: Magneto's silo is filled with baby wolverines. Wolverine's silo is filled with magnetized iron filings like the kind used for Wooly Willy.

Round 2: Magneto's silo is filled with normal-sized adult male wolverines that aren't particularly happy about being stuffed into a silo. Wolverine's silo is filled with 2 pound (0.9 kg) horseshoe magnets.

Round 3: Magneto is coated with concentrated male wolverine pheromone, then thrown into a silo filled with female wolverines (in estrus). Wolverine is thrown into a silo full of refrigerator magnets that depict Rosie O'Donnell in full frontal nudity.

Bonus Round: Professor X (no powers) vs Stephen Hawking in a renaissance fest jousting tournament. Assume each has infinite money and a week of planning to modify their wheelchairs, but they must use a standard sized lance.

The 1985 Chicago Bears vs The Marvel Universe whowouldwin

The Marvel Universe has been acknowledged as one of the most unstoppable fictional universes across all forms of media. So what happens when all the characters of the Marvel Universe run up into the most immoveable group of all time, the 1985 Chicago Bears.

I'm sure the Marvel universe needs no introduction, but the 1985 Chicago Bears have a plethora of funky fresh players that could definitely make Galactus shake in his big purple pimp boots.

Let's not forget, at the center of the 1985 Chicago Bears' defense is William "The Refrigerator" Perry, a man so frightening and beastly that he got his own 80's funk compilation reel.

So can the Marvel Universe stand up to a force immoveable as the 1985 Chicago Bears?

Round 1: No TOAA and No William Perry

Lamborghini Police Car vs Air Ambulance whowouldwin

My friend and I were discussing the practicality of the Lamborghini Huracan police car, when the discussion turned to the organ refrigerator in its trunk. We began arguing as to what would be more effective or even cost effective at organ transport: this Huracan, or an Air Ambulance.

He then decided a motorbike would be best at weaving through Rome traffic, but I countered saying no organ refrigerator exists at a motorbike's size. To decide this, I showed him to this sub.

Players:

Police Huracan

Air Ambulance

organ transport motorbike if that can exist

Rounds:

1) urban Rome

2) suburban Rome

3) rural Italy

The distance increases with each round as y'all see fit, as we figured there'd be a range of distances that each vehicle is most effective.

So guys, who would win the organ transport race?

/u/flutterguy123's Guinea pig George VS My cat Gooba whowouldwin

Information on George is here

Gooba VS George in a fight to the death.

Gooba's feats:

1. His claws once scratched my bedroom door so they must be at least as sharp as Wolverine's claws.

2. He can climb trees and curtains so I'm pretty sure he has some kind of insect-like sticking ability.

3. One time he pooped in the hallway and I didn't get mad cause he's so cute so he has emotion manipulation.

4. If you touch his feet he will become bloodlusted and attack you.

5. He can meow loudly and wake me up so he must be at Dragonshouting level.

6. He can jump over mountains. Well, he could if he wanted to. He probably does. Yeah he does.

7. He has extremely high intelligence and probably can read minds.

8. He has friends who can help him like Behba and Daisy.

9. One time he jumped off of my refrigerator and was fine so he doesn't experience fall damage.

10. He likes to sunbathe so obviously he gains power from the sun like Superman so he is as strong as him too.

Here is a picture of Gooba for reference.
