Just need something filling, doesn't have to be healthy.

No Taco Bell tho. Been eating Taco often and kinda sick of it..

I have access to a microwave, but no refrigerator.

Refrigerators for commuting students gatech

Just started Env Eng grad program this summer. Haven't been through student orientation so I'm learning about resources around campus as I need them. Are there any refrigerators commuting student or grad students can use on campus to keep their lunch cold?

Eating at the student center is great - but not easy on the wallet. Ice packs work, but I like making smoothies for lunch with yogurt/milk/powders and I don't trust a ice pack to keep those items from getting fowl. Thanks.

Could anyone break down their expenses for living in an apartment in Georgia Tech? Would love to plan ahead of time. gatech

Pretty much related to the title.

• Please include one-time expenses like refrigerators and furniture.
• Did you have moving expenses?
• Did you wish you had bought something earlier because it was worth the expense?
• Were your suitcases useless because you never had to store stuff in them (any tips?)
• For food, how often did you cook vs eat at the dining hall vs eat out.
• Did you ever share utilities with your roommates?
• Laundry expenses and other stuff that GT Housing probably does for me.
• Did getting a bicycle or a skateboard help? Any issues with them?
• How was daily transportation - walk or bus?

Perhaps the most important question :

• What did you lose vs gain when compared to GT Housing.

Few details about myself:

• Carrying a monitor, desktop and a lamp.
• No wall stuff. Probably a few posters here and there.
• A few suitcases that are inevitably empty. Hate wasting floor/cupboard space on them.
• Not much for carrying mementos around.
