Just a little rant about my terrible roommate- Advice needed!! college

Unfortunately I live with this one terrible human being. I've known her since we were kids however she has always believed we are closer friends than we are. She's a complete bully but that's besides the point of her being just a god awful roommate. I've been back at my parents for four days, I returned tonight and she has eaten half my food, poured/sipped my health shots then put them back in the refrigerator (gross), used all of my shampoo and toothpaste and left our living area a complete mess from having friends over, oh and also broke all over our Christmas decorations and lights... all of this two days after she accused me of leaving the oven on over night when I wasn't even in the city... I just can't stand her. I've got another 6 months living here and could do with some advice. I don't have the time or energy for stuff like this.

Review 4 review college

hello everyone, i really need someone to look at the first 2 paragraphs and give me any kind of suggestion on how to make it better. in return give me anything u want me to look over for u and give u suggestions. The paragraphs about a mother and her son and why she is a bad parent. i really sound very philosophical/smart in wording the essay.

Body paragraph 1

Use of bad behavior is a critical part of bad parenting. Darcella and Morris both display their Violence in front of Maurice countless times. To begin, Darcella and Morris only knew how to speak through violence. Maurice saw his mother stabbing his father; she stabbed Morris countless times on his arm until he was covered in blood while laying down on the floor(Schroff and Tresniowski 13). Darcella and Morris were both hot-tempered and grew as members of gangs; consequently, violence was a part of their life. Drugs are common in Maurice’s life, both his parents used drugs. Darcella began using drugs right when Maurice was born and got addicted to heroin when Maurice was an infant. Laura’s first time seeing Darcella; she describes her as a very thin woman who wore pants that went below her underwear, her clothes was very filthy, her hair was very messy and her movements were very slow. She could not register Laura’s presence although she is standing in front of her. She was half awake, half asleep(53). These are common effects of drug use, She does not care if she is using drugs in front of Maurice, as she is high in the middle of the day, and she could not comprehend what Laura was saying to her nor she cared about her appearance. Drugs and violence can affect Maurice very drastically. Children learn and adapt from their parents; as a result, Maurice is very likely to follow his parents path.

Body paragraph 2

Carelessness is a major part of bad parenting. Darcella displays her act of her carelessness countless times toward Maurice. First of all, Darcella did not show much care toward maurice since he was born. Maurice himself says that his Darcella does not care if he is out on the streets. Maurice appears and disappears as he felt; he never was questioned about his whereabouts or what he is doing, whether it is s night nor day. Maurice did not acknowledge anyone, and in turn, no one really looked out for him. He have only got two gifts amid his existence(26) . Maurice had to beg on the streets to be able to live, to survive for the next day. When Laura took Maurice to the restaurant he look at the menu and is very confused on what to order and what to eat. He never had any meals in the house, his family did not have anything in the refrigerator. He ate whatever he got his hands on. “At the dinner Maurice considered his thick menu and finally said eggs. ‘Eggs? i asked. ‘For dinner?’. Maurice sat there confused … he had no comprehension of the concepts of breakfast, lunch, dinner and. He didn't know different foods were served at different times… and he ate whatever he could get, wherever he got it”(37). Darcella’s carelessness can be very bad, if she does not know about Maurice whereabouts nor teach him basic life knowledge, Maurice is very much likely to end up uneducated and might get in trouble with the law or people.

Any kind of suggestions is much appreciated, thank you.

its been a rough summer college

where do i begin...

in march i was accepted into a very good school, one that a lot of my family has attended including both of my parents. i am the first person among my cousins who was accepted so obviously my family is very excited. my extended family all live within 15-30 minutes of this college while my immediate family lives roughly three hours away, in another state.

however, i have been dreading college for well over the past year. i think my parents knew this, because they basically had to drag me to apply to the measly three schools i applied to. but since this past march, where i found out where i was actually going to enroll to, i think i have had early depression starting.

staring at the university logo on our refrigerator or looking at any t-shirts of the school colors makes me extremely sad, basically ruining that day until i hopefully get to sleep. this summer has been filled with sleepless nights and a lack of emotions besides sadness.

then, in early june i went off with my mom to orientation. of course, all the meetings and barrage of info sucked but i really got to the point i cannot imagine myself being at the school, and in a bigger sense any college. overnight at orientation i thought to myself "i'd rather just die than go to college." NO, i am not suicidal but i did think that while there and quite frankly its scary thinking that i thought that.

i finally told my parents about how i've been feeling the past year, and we went to a counselor. it kind of helped, but it was mostly the same stuff my parents have been telling me about college. im very close with my parents so they are obviously extremely concerned. this has also led to arguments like we've never had before which is making me even sadder.

here i am now, still feeling extremely sad and discouraged. i really do think that deep down i want to be excited and be happy about school, but then i think about this school and my attitude gets so negative and sad i'm pretty much preventing any chance of that happening. i have three more weeks until i leave and im really dreading it. i wish i could take a gap year or something but i know i cant because my parents have already deposited money and paid a lot for the upcoming semester. i used to think i hated high school, now i wish i could have on more year living at home with my family and brother and not having to be so sad and depressed.

Organizing 4 person refridgerator college

Not sure if this is the right sub, but I'm in college so I figures it applies.

I'm currently in a 4 bedroom apt. with some friends which is great. The one issue is there is not much room in the refridgerator for all of our stuff. I make most of my meals, so the raw ingredients, storage, etc. takes up almost half. My roommates often buy stuff at the grocery and never eat it, so a majority of the fridge is just expired stuff that they're too lazy to get rid of. Do you guys have any methods for organizing food/refrigerator for 4 guys?

Frozen Pizza and Chicken Nuggets in Fridge college

I've been craving Pizza and chicken for a while but don't like spending a whole lot as a college kid. I was just thinking about getting frozen Pizzas and precooked Chicken nuggets from the store later. I only have a refrigerator no freezer. How long will they last in the refrigerator?

This is sort of an off-topic question, but what do I do with the leftover sausages? college

So I'm living off campus now, and I have no idea what I am doing. I bought these sausages that were vacuumed sealed, and I was wondering what do I do with the rest of the sausages when I only cooked one of them? Do I throw them back in the freezer, or put them in refrigerator? I wasn't sure where to post this.

Brown-bag lunch ideas college

Spring semester is starting soon and our schedules requires some of us to be on campus nearly all day , away from our private kitchens. Can anyone suggest brown bagged lunch ideas? I have a refrigerator on campus so I can store some items.

Question about shared refrigerators college

I'm transferring to Boulder this coming semester from Colorado Springs, and will be staying in the engineering honors dorm where I thought I would never have an issue like this. The problem is I have found out, through connections in Boulder, that my roommate-to-be is someone who enjoys drinking in the dorms.

I'm not necessarily against drinking, just because I personally don't care what others do (I find the smell of beer too bitter to try it), but I need to protect myself from potential code of conduct violations due to this roommate. In Boulder they supply a shared fridge, with no other mini-fridges allowed. Would I be considered to be breaching the alcohol section of the code of conduct (as well as potentially inciting an underage possession arrest/fine) if he kept his booze in this shared fridge? I don't want to be the hard ass telling him to drink warm beer, which I've heard is nasty, but I'll do that before I let him risk my academic or criminal record for the sake of him getting buzzed.

TLDR: Are both roommates held accountable for all contents of a shared fridge, or only their own?

Part of my concern is that he was a single occupant of a double room in a dorm that is always packed to capacity (I was very lucky to get in at semester) and doesn't house people who are going to drop or flunk out (it only houses engineering students with a 3.25 or higher GPA). Boulder has a policy of moving the person who files a roommate complaint, rather than the offender, so I have a sneaking suspicion that his roommate might have complained about him - either in a vague fashion to get himself moved or a direct complaint about alcohol where they didn't find anything. I just don't want to be wrapped up in it when/if he ends up getting caught, so I need to know how to protect myself in this case.

I have absolutely no way of contacting my roommate. What should I do? college

I found out who's my roommate is going to be a month ago and I emailed him. He didn't email me back. I thought that it was because no one checks their college email often and that he would respond to me a couple of weeks later or something. He never did.

Now I'm getting fed up, that guy doesn't have a Facebook profile, a twitter profile or anything like that. When I google his name, nothing related to him appears. I have absolutely no idea what my roommate is like, I don't even know what he looks like.

I need to contact him because I needed to discuss a few things like who's going to bring a TV, a refrigerator, a microwave or stuff like that.

Is it weird that my roommate isn't contacting me back? Because my friends said that my roommate is probably going to be a weirdo or a dork because all normal people should have a way for you to contact them and well, I don't want a weirdo/dork as my roommate. What should I do?

Does having an unlimited meal plan remove need for microwave, refrigerator, etc? college

Might be a stupid question but I'll have an unlimited meal plan and was wondering if I should still have a microwave or a mini fridge for anything? I would only make coffee but I'm not sure if it would be useful for any time of day or whatnot.

Students who have been in this position, how often do you make your own food?
