My 2 reasons why they should try again ! UtopiaFOX

I honestly was looking forward to 2 things - 1 - I expected CHAOS - I wanted to see them fight, suffer, scheme, and eventually overcome what is supposed to be a life changing experience of cutting off the rest of the world. No help, no internet, no modern facilities. and 2 - the fact that we had 24 hour feeds of their daily happenings - I could see the a "real" and unedited account of all the hardships, struggles, development and growth. I was hoping I would be camped out in front the feeds waiting to see something that would be the next big story on E! news or The Soup.

I was hoping to see an experiment like some post apocalyptic commune with limited resources, hunting and scrounging to build an actual utopia. Would they breakdown into some tribal commune, would they turn into a religious order and let faith and karma rule them, would they break off into factions or cliques, would they develop into a functioning socialist or democratic community ... you get the idea.

For all the varying personalities I was most entertained by Red and Bella's crazy rants and tantrums. I think they got it right with those two but went horribly wrong with the editing, production assistance and contact with the outside world.

I say don't give them lumber, don't give them electricity, don't let them communicate with the rest of the world - let them build it not buy it. I want to see how they handle the basics , food, shelter, clothing. This was for me, like a bad sleep over where you know the refrigerator was downstairs, some adult would make sure you are safe and if you didn't like it Mom would come to take you home.

I would like to see someone try this again ... we all make mistakes. The concept was interesting, the execution was wrong.

Utopia USA cast heights? UtopiaFOX

I would say that their heights are exaggerated especially Hex. Taylor is the only one who has given his correct height at 6ft and possibly Rob at 5'3"

One way to gauge their heights is based on the refrigerator in the Barn. The fridge is likely 67" tall or 5 foot 7". They also come in 69" sizes but I'm guess 67" is more common. I'm 5' 11" and 1/4 inch without shoes. When I stand next to my 67" fridge the tip of my nose is inline with the top of the freezer door.

Using the above as a gauge you can guess that Bella is about 6'1" which she says. Taylor is about 6ft cuz bella is just a little taller than him.

Chris and Ernesto claim to be 5' 11". When they filled out their dating auction profile both said 5' 11" Chris is far from 5' 11" whether that fridge is 67" or 69" tall. Ernesto is also not 5' 11".

Out of 15 people they have exceptionally tall people cast, Aaron, Josh, and the new comer Cal are both quite tall. So 3/15. Then on the women's side you have Hex and Bella who are also quite tall. So 5/15 exceptionally tall people. Then you have Mike and Taylor who are both around 6ft which is also quite tall. Make that 7 out of 15 people (almost 50% of them) are tall and the cast is not representative of 15 random people's heights off the street. But then again usually tall people go into acting or want to be on tv (the exception being Tom Cruise).

Another strange thing about the casting is that the ladies are mostly flat-chested. Bri, Dedeker, and Nikki are not even A cups I think. Just an interesting observation.
