Advice for a novice of credit personalfinance

Hello everyone, I am a 23 year old male that needs help. I didn't really care for credit until recently. I'm still in college with no student debt and have no income. However, I realized that I needed some sort of credit/credit history to move out, buy a car, etc... So I checked CreditKarma and I had a decent score (707/708). My parents told me to open a credit card at my bank so I can start building credit on my own. So here I am trying to figure out which is good for me. I have read the wiki's on the sidebar (which were very informative) but when it came to looking at the card description, I thought I was reading another language. Therefore, I'm here today to ask this subreddit for some advice/guidance for a novice. I know that I shouldn't go for the annual fee'd credit cards or the premium, however, the other options all look and sound the same. The only difference I can spot was points/ rewards vs. cashback.

Another factor to look at was VISA vs. Mastercard. A friend advised I should look into VISA rather than Mastercard credit cards. What do y'all think?

Which bank has the best credit card? I can tell many people like the Chase credit card, but I have BMO Harris Bank.

Background/History: My credit score was obtained from last year when my parents needed a refrigerator and wanted me to open a homedepot/lowes credit card to get some incentives/deals. But after I paid it in full and haven't been active with it, my score went up and the spending limit went up by $300.
