I've been making refrigerator pickles for a number of years now, and have made kimchi several times, and i want to start making fermented pickles. And i was wondering if a ceramic crock is worth the price? I'm on a tight budget since i started a new job and have to wait a few weeks before my paychecks start to go through but i wanted to ferment some pickles in the meantime and was wondering if there is a way to make them without the crock.
