I woke up this morning and learned that my freezer and refrigerator had tripped a breaker, effectively ruining the majority of my fresh food. I have a fair amount of canned goods, but that is currently it. My wife and I both eat meat, but we do enjoy vegan meals as well. We were just paid on Friday and the majority of our bills went to bills and groceries.
I'm not opposed to checking out our local food bank, but I'd prefer not to because I wouldn't want to take away from people with a worse stroke of luck than myself. I can still go grocery shopping, but I'd like to build a list of things that I can get and make last for the next two weeks. Any recipes, tips, ideas, or general wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
