I brought Ela home from the animal shelter on her 10wk bday. She immediately adjusted to her new home and saw me as her mamy. Trying to get me to lick her buthole. Staying close to me following me around.
At first she had a sneeze. The third day she wouldn't eat the whole day. And she was gagging serming like she was gasping for air. The fourth day the vet gave me meds and special food for her to put on her mouth to get her started eating.
It didnt work that evening. But I was able to mix some with water and force feed her with a syringe. The next day it work. And soon she was eating fine. Since then she seems extremely obsessed with food.
As soon as I open the refrigerator for pretty much anything, she comes running out of the other room screaming. It's pretty funny actually. She continues screaming for food.
If I'm holding her or Sari's food or treat she will continue to jump up in the sky for it indefinitely.
She goes World War Z on her food. She runs at it as fast as possible eating it as fast as possible.
I have to hold her when I put their bowls out. Otherwise she will jump on it. I put Sari's bowl down first. Then Ela's bowl. If I hold Ela away from her food, she will scream cry and continue to try to get at her food like a maniac.
Sari is nothing like this. She will come out for food but when I call her name. She follows me and meows at feeding time but she doesn't go nuts.
When Ela first moved in, Sari was growly and hissy at the sight of Ela for over a week. It's three weeks now, and they're fine together. Ela only gets growled hissed bitten at when she attacks Sari's tail or does something annoying to Sari.
I usually let Sari start eating first so she finishes before Ela. And Ela goes nuts while waiting trying to go after Sari's food. If I feed them and Ela finishes first she will go at Sari's bowl. Sari will also go at Ela's bowl if finishing first. However, she listens to me when I tell her no.
After eating Ela will still be hungry looking for more food.
