Trying to decide between two different apartments Advice

Hey all,

So I [M24] have been in apartment hunting mode for the past month and as this month draws to an end, I'm getting pretty desperate for just about anything. I live in a bustling college town and students are always swiping up apartments.

Today I was approved for a studio apartment. It's location is amazing. Just a street over from the downtown area (bars, restaurants, clubs) and a ten minute bike ride to work, maybe twenty to campus. It is very small though. Maybe 450 square feet. It has a bathroom with a shower. No kitchen, but it does have a refrigerator in the corner. Lots of storage in it. This is a minimum one year lease commitment.

I was also approved as a roommate in a three bedroom house with two other guys my age. The house is significantly farther away from the downtown area and my job, but only about five minutes ride from campus. The two guys seem ok, but I don't have much experience living with people, other than my ex, and I tend to like my privacy. This is a minimum 6 month commitment.

The studio is only about forty dollars per month more expensive than the room so I can't really choose based on price. I need to make a decision asap before someone swoops in to one of them and signs the lease.

Based in your experience, either with a studio or living with roomies, what which would you choose in this situation?

TL;DR - Should I live in a small studio apartment or a house with two strangers?
