She did it for the money DepressingStories

Not sure where to start, but I need to get this off my chest. So I guess we will just start from the very beginning. See as a kid I remember my parents fighting all the time. One night in particular my parents were fighting and my mom kept making the situation worse. She just kept telling my dad he needed to kill himself so she could collect the social security. After continually telling him this he calmly walked to the refrigerator and grabbed a gun. I climbed up on my moms lap, knowing neither of them would start throwing punches if I were there. My dad loaded the gun...the whole time nobody said a word. But instead of leaving the house or raising his voice, my dad started crying and put the gun to my moms head. I didn't really know what to do but I put my hand between the gun and her head. My parents locked eyes and seemed to realize how far the situation had actually escalated, My dad left for the night. while things weren't that bad again they still fought,a lot. But a few years later, when I was 8, things started getting really bad again. It was my spring break, my brother was in Alaska with my grandparents, and an old friend of my dads called him and invited us to a BBQ. Of course we went. This was the worst decision my dad ever made. The second we got to this old friends house, a man we will call Jake, handed my parents a bottle of vodka. Jakes daughter and I went on a bike ride and let the adults do their thing. After about an hour I was tired of riding bikes so I asked my dad to put up a tire swing. I got the tire and rope and my dad started the project, only I changed my mind half way through. Once he put the rope around the branch I decided I didn't want the tire swing, I decided that instead I wanted to play Tarzan. My dad showed me how to swing off the porch over a big pit and went back to talking with the other adults. I never did swing from the rope, I was way too scared of falling into the pit. My parents were too drunk to drive home so we decided to stay the night, this would be the second worst decision my dad made, all in one night. At some point in the night my parents started fighting. Jake ended up taking my dad for a drive so they could calm down. The story gets blurry from there. I went to bed, and my mom and Jake had different stories about what happened. What I can say is, I was woken up at 6:34 the next morning. Two people I had never seen before were insisting I had to go with them. I kept trying to tell them my parents where there and I should stay where I was. Those two people ended up being jakes parents. I climbed out of bed and walked down the hall. At the end of the hall the living was to my left, the kitchen to my right. Jakes kids and his parents walked through the living room. I started to follow them when I noticed something flashing. I turned around and looked out of the sliding glass door in the kitchen. At first I couldn't make out what was going on, then I saw a black figure on his back and another black figure leaning over him. At that second somebody placed their hands over my eyes and started dragging me out of the living room and through the front door. A few hours later Jake picked us up from his parents house and drove us back to his house. He sent his kids in the house and walked me over to a swing set. This man I didn't know was about to tell me my dad was dead. I didn't know what to say, so he repeated it. "I said I don't know how to tell you this but you're dad is dead, he's gone, he's not coming back". After that he left me on the swing and walked inside the house with his kids. He told them what happened and gave us all otter pops. I didn't really see my mom a lot after that day. She and Jake ended up seeing each other until almost a year later. and that was just the start of things **to be continued **
