It all started with a fridge leak.. can anybody help with what the main problem might be? Appliances

I noticed water along the front of the refrigerator. It was suggested that maybe the condensation drain might ne clogged as it may tend to freeze up. The refrigerator is less then 15yrs old so that condition shouldn't happen with newer appliances unless something isn't working properly. There was ice buildup at the bottom of the freezer and in the back, under the coils where the drain inlet is. I used a hair dryer and hot water to melt the ice. I used a welding rod it piece away any dirt or debris and clear the drain. I tested it with water until i had flow into drain pan under fridge. When i plugged fridge back in, it wouldn't get cold. The fridge itself seemed warmer at the top and cold at the bottom. The freezer section would not turn on. There is no blast of cold air or cold air circulation. Either in the fridge side as well. Research leads me to believe it could be the "condensation capacitor". Im still awaiting for it to arrive to change it. In the meantime, the freezer has actually kicked on every now and again and is working for the most part. And the fridge side is cold all over. Heres the thing.... every now and again i'll hear what sounds like a fan or motor trying to start but can't. About four or sixtimes..I don't know now if the freezer is always supposed to be on (blasting cold air when u open the door) As i never noticed, as you just know its working becuz theres no problems at the time. I don't know if its shutting off and trying to restart, if its a cooling unit, condensing unit of what..Theres no water/ice build up currently. What is acting up that i should address?
