I'm a single guy who doesn't use most of my fridge, and I want to decrease the energy usage of my appliances. Would stocking the fridge with something, let's say gallon jugs of water, cause it to be more energy efficient than an empty fridge?
I think that by storing jugs of water, the fridge is possibly more energy efficient, as the water is going to retain the temperature of the inside of the fridge better than the air inside it. Not to mention, when it opens up, there is going to be less cold air that escapes from it.
Is there something I'm not considering?
