Hey guys, I had a couple of quick questions I was hoping for some guidance on. My wife and I are in the middle of a kitchen remodel, and have decided to buy a dishwasher. Our home was built in 1963 and had little updating done when we closed, so we will be installing this DW from ground zero. Meaning, I'm going to be cutting cabinets, running electrical, the whole nine yards. As far as the actual installation goes, I think I'll be okay. I am, however, concerned about fitting this dishwasher into our cabinets/counters. The way our kitchen is laid out, there is only one place it can go, which would be between the refrigerator and sink.
My concerns are how to go about cutting and cropping our existing cabinets to accomodate a dishwasher, and how to make it look nice. I've included a couple photos, one of our actual cabinet space where to the dishwasher will be installed, and another (crudely drawn) picture of the dimensions of the same cabinet space.
I'm basically wondering if I should center the dishwasher in this space or keep it directly next to the sink and try to cobble some sort of small cabinet door/space to the left of it. I'm leaning towards the latter, but am unsure how to go about doing it. I don't want to start hacking up my cabinets without a plan.
I'll also include a link to the exact dishwasher we purchased. Please keep in mind we haven't received it yet (scheduled to be delivered this weekend), so I can't physically answer any questions regarding the DW itself. I can take more measurements if needed. Thanks for any and all help.
