I wanted to know how if it was possible to make pickles using whiskey as part of the brine. I make spicy IPA pickles from time to time and have a recipe for it. The brine is just salt, white distilled vinegar, apple cider vinegar and a bottle of the IPA of my choice.
What I want to do is make sour dill pickles with whiskey in the brine. How would I determine the amount needed?
I also want to clarify that I just make refrigerator pickles. I would like to learn to make pickles I can keep on my shelf and store for a longer period of time.
