So I've been reading...a lot. Dunking and flushes, drying and syringes and spore prints. Wanted to lay out a basic plan and see what you guys think.
1) The basic mushroom grow, purchased syringes.
2) Flush ends. Pick largest mushrooms, create spore prints. Sterilize water and needles, create syringe, put it bleached zip loc and throw in questionable refrigerator.
3) Dunk cakes in cold water, let sit for a bit. Put back in auto terrarium.
3.5) Dry out picked mushrooms, freeze (assuming contamination risk is over at this point)
4) Take jars, resterilize, add more substrate, inoculate with new syringes.
5) Add to secondary box, positive air flow restricting cross contamination with second box(one mister pumping through 2 seperate tubes)
6) Rinse, lather, repeat, vigorously cleaning a box after 2-3 flushes.
Does this seem possible/accurate? Getting syringes is a PITA and I'd rather be growing off my own.
