We recently bought a house and planned to put a spare refrigerator in the garage. Upon plugging in the fridge, the outlet tripped and the fridge shut off. I flip the breakers back on and sure enough, it looks like the fridge has more power than the outlet is able to handle.
I have some handyman skills but am not going to even attempt to mess with electrical stuff, so how much do you think it would cost to rewire this outlet to support a fridge and is it even worth it?
