My girlfriend and I are both currently working jobs that prevent us from leaving our work sites to buy lunch, so both of us bring lunch every day. In addition, neither of us have access to a refrigerator to store food or a microwave/oven/whatever to reheat it. This makes the standard fallback of bringing dinner leftovers a bit difficult. We've got cooler bags and ice packs, so we can still keep things cold if we need to, but we've been running on cold sandwiches, cold pasta salads, cold regular salads, and other cold lunches for long enough that even making sure there's a variety there it's still getting a little stale. So what I'm looking for is suggestions for things we can make ahead of time that are okay to sit at "room temperature" without being at risk of spoiling or being super gross or anything. Thanks!
