Can I run my refrigerator line from my washing machine line? Plumbing

Hey there. I am getting a refrigerator installed in my old house with galvanized pipes. All of the information I have found for hooking up a fridge water line seems to point that tapping into the galvanized pipe is either A) a bad idea, or B) a pain in the butt. I have no access to the pipes under the sink.

I just had a washer/dryer installed and the dryer has steam function so they added a split in the tubing coming to the washer to feed the dryer. Can I add one more split on that tubing and get an adapter to convert the line to the proper diameter for my fridge hookup? Access for this is no issue and it's a fairly close ~15 foot shot to my fridge.
My concern is that it might be taking too much water from the washer line, or if this just invites more leaking. Should I just bite the bullet and work with the galvanized pipe? Replacing it all isn't a desired option at this point as my house is already a money pit.

Pics here of the washer hoses and the galvanized pipe closet to fridge. PICS

Thanks so much!
