Refrigerator Door Seal issue Appliances

When we moved into our house, our sellers left behind a Haier RRTG21PABW 20.7 cu.ft. refrigerator which was purchased in May 2009.

(We're looking for a replacement unit that will be side-by-side, because due to the unit's placement in our kitchen the door doesn't fully open and we want a water dispenser and better storage. Also two of the bottom shelf holders are broken and cannot be replaced due to the actual wall of the fridge also having broken where the supports were located.)

Outside of the thermostat issues (referenced in the Amazon reviews and other sites) I recently discovered that the bottom of the fridge door seal has become unglued, likely due to a leaking cracked container I found on the door this morning.

Is there a way to re-attach the seal in such a way that I'll be able to get 3 or more months use out of the unit until it can be replaced?
