Gas range/stove too close to fridge HomeImprovement

We just bought our first home and the inspection report said that the gas range and stove are too close to the refrigerator. The recommendation is to create 6 inches of space between them, or create a barrier of some kind. There are also shelves on the other side of the stove that are considered a fire hazard, but we will be removing those. Are there any recommendations on how to create that 6 in. safety zone in a small space? See here
