Sorry if this seams like a weird place for this but I thought maybe someone had run into a similar situation in their lab and might have some advice.
We have a fridge in the lab that holds some radioactive materials and so they're requiring us to make it lockable. It is an old ass fridge (Hotpoint) and so we're thinking of just screwing in a basic latch into the side and locking it with a padlock.
My only concern in drilling into the side of the fridge and whether or not I'm going to hit anything important. We'd have drill 4 screws in the body of the fridge then 4 screws into the side of the door.
Anyone have any experience/tips/etc with something like this?
