Been Lingering for awhile, so I guess newish member. 1st real post loseit

I'm 26/M weighing in at 300# at the beginning of the year. It’s the heaviest I've ever been. Last year was a stressful as possible. I was buying a house, getting married, got promoted to a more stressful desk job and continued maintaining my 80 hour work week, so health and nutrition took a seat on the side line.

I’ve never been the healthiest person. In high school I played soccer and basketball and weighed in at 165# (practice or games 4 days a week kept me in pretty decent shape). Throughout college I got up to 220#. As I was finishing college I met the girl I ended up marrying and have been on numerous health kicks throughout the 6 years we've been together. I have been as low as 170 and sustained that for a year, but my (now) wife got very sick and ended up in the hospital for 4 months, so my fitness again took the back seat. It seems like every time I try to get in shape something comes up and sidelines my goals.

So now to the 300#. I have been working 80 hour weeks for the past 3 years. It’s hard to find the energy to work out, and my days are busy, so there has been little time to take a break or eat lunch. The times I do eat lunch is because I'm grabbing something as quickly as possible, so that means fast food. I wanted to do some type of meal prep or at the very least eat healthy while at home, but I was living with my (now) wife's parents and food would just disappear, and I never felt comfortable cooking at their house, much less going into the refrigerator.

Now that I have my own house it is much easier to do meal prep and eat healthy. This makes weight loss a much easier beast to tame.

I had been avoiding mirrors and scales for the last 6 months knowing I've gotten much bigger. Finally I’m manning up and taking responsibility for what I've done to myself.

On January 14th, 2015 I stopped eating fast food and started calorie counting with the MFP app. I signed up for a gym membership that same day and according to my LA Fitness App, I’ve been at the gym for 57 out of the last 60 days.

I typically work out in the morning, and my gym time goes something like this

Monday and Thursday – Cardio for 30-40 Minutes, Chest and Triceps exercises, and 5 minutes of abs

Tuesday and Friday – Cardio for 30-40 Minutes, Back and Bicep Exercises, and 5 minutes of abs

Wednesday - Cardio for 60 Minutes, Legs

Saturday and Sunday – Cardio for 1 1/2 – 2 hours

I have been losing weight pretty steadily and today I lost my 26th pound.

I am trying to get down to 200# by the end of this year.
