Okay here goes..
I see Mike's character going one of two ways. One: Mike is or is involved with A. Pure and simple. The writers have cried wolf for so long that we've just expected to have this turn where the person they are pushing as "A" is not A. Well, this would be the ultimate "jokes on you" if they actually made Mike A. It would also be incredibly anti-climatic.
But here's how I see it...
My theory hinges on Mona being alive. I know the writers and IMK have said Mona is dead, but how many times have they made claims that wind up being lies/flip-flopped?
As usual, the writers are making Mike appear guilty when he actually has the liars' best interest at heart. Let's start with the blood donation.
I believe Mona either staged the murder, was coerced by "A" to stage the murder and is currently in hiding.. or according to the new theory, is now in a Doll House.
What we saw: Mike creepily appear at the donation near the refrigerator of blood. What we think we saw: Mike steal the liars' blood, stash it in an overly-complicated hollowed-out protein shake. What we actually saw: Mike go to the donation and take someone's blood that matches Mona's. She has lost a lot of blood and is trying to build herself back up. She is doing this by keeping her blood sugar up (the gumdrops) and blood transfusions (the blood donations.)
What we saw: Mike withdraw $400 from the ATM What we think we saw: Mike withdrawing from A's account to keep plotting against the liars. What we actually saw: Mike withdrawing from Mona's account. Here's where it gets interesting.The jail visits - he WAS visiting Ali. To cope with the loss of Mona, Mike started looking for answers. Because Ali is a manipulative person, she took advantage of the situation. You want answers? You'll have to pay.
What we saw: The meeting between Mike and Cyrus. Mike gave Cyrus an envelope. What we think we saw: Mike gave Cyrus the girls' blood! What we actually saw: Mike had a sit down with Cyrus (Ali's henchman) and in exchange for the money, he supplied Mike with some answers. The question is "why $400?" I don't know. I'm sure we'll find out sooner or later.
Another idea is that Mike is doing Mona's work. Maybe he has been visiting someone in jail that to get answers or is befriending Ali - keep your friends close and your enemies closer. He is paying off Cyrus to turn on Ali and build a case. That would lead to Ali and the Liars getting arrested at the end of the season.
Just some ideas. I'm intrigued by the dollhouse theory. For everyone who is saying "Oh IMK said it would take a 'dark turn' and this sounds stupid." Well, let's not forget: this show is on ABC Family. How dark could it really get? Until it starts showing up on FX or AMC, "dark" is going to be a kind-of-creepy, more likely corny dollhouse.
It is interesting that, should the dollhouse spoiler come true, A is obsessed rather than vengeful of Ali.
