My fiancee and I are getting married this summer. We've been together for 8+ years, have a daughter and own a home. We are looking having trouble with the wedding shower. We've explored several different registry option but nothing fits our needs. Then I had an idea! We don't need gravy boats or a blender. We need a new refrigerator and a new dishwasher. I'm envisioning a site similar to gofundme.com where friends and family members could login and donate towards our appliances. The problem is gofundme charges fees and we are worried this might come off as rude. Also, we would like to still have the wedding shower because my fiancee had planned so many for her friends I feel as though she deserves one of her own. Any thoughts, comments, or ideas are appreciated!
