We couldn't turn down the invitation as the guy was the Stake Mission leader. His place was two trailers, the 'new' used one and the old burned out shell next to it where they still kept food in the refrigerator - even with no power. Big meal with fly strips hanging right over the table in two places - one of them right over a big heaping bowl of mashed potatoes.
The dinnerware was not clean, the trailer stunk so bad my companion nearly threw up before the meal. We ate, figuring justifies by 'the Lord protects his servants' and after we left my companion did throw up - tho he held it til we were about 6 blocks away and he could run into a grove of trees to do it.
We were both sick for nearly a week afterward with The Runs starting within a day and lasting for a few.
Not a good thing and even worse than the places we ate on the Indian Reservation when doing "Lamanite" tracting.
